My cat likes to bite me. I think that's why I keep dreaming that she is a snake. Snakes unhinge their jaw to swallow their prey. I wonder if snakes have TMJ problems? Maybe all we need to do is unhinge our jaws once in a while, and our TMJ would be healthy and painfree. Or maybe not. I'm just wondering. My previous entry was a therapy entry. I am going to start keeping track of my sessions in seperate entries so that I can go back and obsess over them more effectively;) I redid the link section over there in the right hand corner. I put the contact info all on one page and linked to it from there. I also put the standard stuff (email, book, notes, comments) on each entry so it would be easier to find. I think it makes the whole page look less cluttered. I'm so over the Dixie Chicks debate. They said what they said as is their right. If people are upset about what they said, then those people can certainly stop buying their CDs and listening to their music on the radio. I don't think we need to spend hours on CNN debating this issue. Freedom of Speech means you can say what you feel, whether you are in the minority or the majority. Let's move on, shall we? I don't see people out boycotting Michael Moore after his Oscar speech. I don't see copies of "Yentl" and "Bull Duhrum" being run over by steamrollers. I don't know why there is such fury about one group's remarks. Perhaps it is because country music is typically thought of as more conservative. You'd expect REM to be anti-war, but you'd be surprised if Toby Keith blasted Bush in a song. I just wish people would settle down over this and focus on issues that really matter. Like Blue Pepsi. Who the hell thought that was a good idea? That stuff tastes like crap! But seriously, there are so many more important things going on in the world today. Where is Osama? Saddam? Are there any WMD and if so, where are they? Can we get SARS contained, or will we soon be forced to walk around with masks on to stop the spread? The comments of a few people pale in comparison with issues like these. In other news, my apartment is a terrible mess and I'm trying to get motivated to clean it. I repotted some plants on my front porch (read: repotted=took dying/dead plants out of one pot, watered them for the first time in weeks and put them in a slighty bigger pot with fingers crossed they will come back to life). So, we'll see what happens. Oh, I'd like to say one thing to a certain diarist who will know who they are when they read this. No one is perfect. No one has lived a perfect life. Everyone makes mistakes. I have made many. The trick is to forgive yourself the way you would forgive anyone else who is sorry for what they have done. Carrying anger towards yourself does nothing but make you more likely to choose poorly in the future and hurt yourself further. You are not perfect, but guess what? I still think you're great:) I bought my cat two new toys. One is a self scratcher, which she is not using for scratching but rather for eating. Yeah, she's eating the little spikes;) The other is supposed to be a scratcher/climbing thing but it came without any thing to put the pieces together with. That's the second time something like that has happened to me with a cat toy. So I have the pieces stacked up and she walks over them. She must be thinking, "Yeah, Mom...great new toy you got me. Woohoo." LOL Alrighty, well, I am off to do something other than play with my diary all day.
